In June, Window & Door, an online publication of the National Glass Association, released an article called “What the Color of a Door Says.” The article was referring to entry doors, and the Therma Tru Doors national color expert, Kate Smith, was advising homeowners to match the color of their entry door to their personalities, she said, in order to give guests a preview of the owner inside the home.
Certainly it is true that homeowners take more opportunities to express their personality through an entry door than a garage door, but it is also true that there are some who want a bigger canvas, so to speak, on which to exhibit their personalities (i.e. through a garage door).
So we’re wondering, how have your customers expressed their personality through their overhead door choice? ID & OI would like to run photos and short stories about the personalities behind the doors. If you have examples you are willing to share with us, and the home or business owner is willing to have published, we will follow up with you for all the details.
We’re looking for customers who may have selected an unusual color or type of door for the application, or a door mural that is eye catching or revealing.
We’re also looking for customers who had doors installed in nontraditional locations, such as in a basement or a kitchen or a bedroom. Maybe a business owner who has captured the essence of the door’s intention in an unusual manner?
